About The Doula
My Background
I attended the illustrious HBCU North Carolina Central University in Durham NC, where I received a Social Work degree. I have been married for 25 years to my college sweetheart AC Hunnicutt Jr. We have 3 beautiful children, Alton III 24, Lailah 21, and Logen 16.

Why I Became a Doula
I am based in Charlotte NC and the surrounding area as a Labor and Birth Doula and Postpartum Doula.
I have always had a passion for seeing new life come into the world and working with soon to be mothers, but it became even more prevalent after the horrific birth experience of my son 24 years ago. The experience let me know that doulas were needed as advocates for families, to educate them in knowing you have a voice and a choice in how you will deliver your baby. My son and I suffered greatly which caused him to have growth delays and a long stay in the NICU. If only I had a doula to speak and guide me through my birth process early we may not have encountered that bad experience.
Services Offered:
I provide mothers and partners with a holistic, birth their way experience, focusing on a safe birth for mom and baby. I specialize in home births, Inductions, VBAC, planned cesareans, natural births, and supporting first-time parents throughout the pregnancy from conception to birth. I work with mothers on using the CUB as a birthing method.
I also offer sibling doula services while mom is recovering.
I LOVE MY LGBTQA community and I would absolutely love the opportunity to work with the families in Charlotte NC, and the surrounding area.

Birthing Guidance
Offering Support
With my Birthing Guidance, I offer unwavering support to you and your family before, during and after birth. I will stay in close contact in order to routinely check how you’re doing and step in with anything you might need.
Postpartum Support
Here for You
Pregnancy, birth and the early days of child rearing can be very scary and stressful. My role with my Postpartum Support service is to ensure you get the best information and care possible. No matter when you need me, I will be there offering support.
Prenatal Visits

I take on a limited number of clients at any one time to make sure I can give you the full care and attention you deserve. By offering Prenatal Visits, my goal is to reduce any stress, allowing you to pay attention to your body and your baby.
